The second Nigeria Leadership Summit was held on the 9th and 10th of December 2013 at the Exquisite Oriental Hotel. The prestigious event culminated with the launch of the Empower Nigeria Initiative on the 11th of December at the Intercontinental Hotel. The Summit that began its journey in 2012 is aimed at drawing attention to the crisis in leadership in Nigeria and bringing the Nation’s deepest thinkers and most innovative minds to come up with solutions to our various problems. The Nigeria Leadership Summit is organized by the Anabel Leadership Academy and the convener of the Summit is Prince Nicholas Okoye, the President of Anabel Group Inc. We recorded over 3000 participating delegates at the inaugural Summit in 2012 with over 20,000 people participating from all over the world. This year, the delegate participation exceeded all our expectations and new record was set. We recorded over four thousand delegates spanning across the three days, which remains an unprecedented result in the history of Summits in Nigeria. In line with our record of high standards, our Summit and Launch Events were streamed live on the internet to the entire World in real time. Our records show that Nigerians participated from as far as the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, China, United Kingdom, Brazil, and Mexico. The theme for this year's Nigeria Leadership Summit was “LETS GET TO WORK". Its focus was on job creation through entrepreneurship.
The Summit was divided into three segments over three days of intensive thought provoking discussion and the development of innovative solutions for strategic sectors in the economy. Each day represented a different segment with a different flow and in the case of the 11th of December a different venue. The event began each day with delegate registration. This created an avenue for the participants to mingle with Partners of the Nigeria Leadership Summit and the Empower Nigeria Initiative. Some of our partners include Bank of Industry, Diamond Bank, Heritage Bank, NestOil, Etisalat, The Guardian Newspaper, Silver Bird TV, and a host of others ...read more
